This morning we will begin the workshop with a walking tour of the Villa and discuss shooting locations, elements in the frame selection, where to find the light, and do some hands-on examples with our models. In the afternoon, we will continue with our shooting all over our beautiful villa!
(NOTE: To use the time efficiently, members are encouraged to ask other participants to act as portrait subjects when models are assigned with others.
DAY 2: ABBEY RUINS
After breakfast, we will head to the ruins of The Abbey of San Galgano for more shooting! You will want to spend some time here (weather permitting) so plan on 3-5 hours here. Our planned return to the Villa is around 5pm.
DAY 3: DAY AT THE VILLA
Today will be spent at or near the Villa. We will shoot around the Villa locations and if interested, a wedding themed shoot at the villa chapel. This is the time for you to bring out your special outfits and have the models wear them! Possible later drive to the hillside to shoot a sunset!
For dinner, tonight is PIZZA NIGHT using the Villa brick oven!
DAY 4: VOLTERRA (Roman Ruins) and SAN GIMIGIANO
This morning we will leave early (7am) and head to Volterra where we can walk the Roman Ruins. Models will be available to shoot. Sometime around 1pm, we will leave for the the world famous San Gimigiano! We will spend the rest of the day here!
DAY 5: ALL DAY at the VILLA
The morning is free. Sleep in, Shoot, walk, relax, call home… OPTIONAL (free): Come out for an EARLY AM landscape shoot for those interested. We will leave at 4am to catch that awesome light before and after sunrise. I hope to bring a model with me to add to the moody misty images!
DAY 6: Montepulciano Visit!
For our final full day, we will head out to visit the town of Montepulciano. Tonight is a catered farewell dinner and wine (Included) back at the Villa.
DAY 7: Early AM departure for Florence Airport!
Depending on your departure time, we will likely be leaving the Villa early this morning. Coffee and run! I would recommend having your flights depart sometime around noon or later if possible…
